The founding of MAKAR started in 2002, when Mr. Zhang Guoqiang designed a dog toilet to address the issue of pet dogs defecating indoors, which, as the world’s first dog toilet, has remained in use to this day. Subsequent tests through user experiences confirmed its excellent performance and capacity in effectively solving the problem of indoor defecation for family-raised pets. At that time, there were few varieties in China’s pet products market, particularly for plastic pet supplies, most of which featured rough appearances and poor quality. As a result, Mr. Zhang Guoqiang decided to work on the development of the pet products by taking advantage of the knowledge he gained from over a decade of work in an aerospace research institution, founding Beijing Makar Pet Products Co., Ltd. (MAKAR), which is dedicated to designing and manufacturing more high-quality pet supplies.
Over the past 20-plus years, Beijing Makar (MAKAR) has launched a series of innovative pet products, including Dog Toilet, Egg-shaped cat litter box, Fantasy Cat closed cat litter box, Dragon Inn Butterfly Doors Cat litter box, and Artist Cat litter box. To date, the Company has obtained nearly 50 domestic and international patents, leading the fashion trend of China’s pet products industry.
